ICYMI: Lots of New Patterns in the Libraries

Fall has arrived, and it seems like everyone is putting the beach chairs away and getting back into the work groove. If it’s been a while since you last looked through our pattern libraries, you’re in for a treat. Over the past couple of months, we’ve added a lot of new patterns to our licensable library. We added some patterns as mini collections and others as single designs.

We also made some updates to the website and have phased out the proprietary library. Many of those patterns are slowly making their way over to the licensable library, so check back weekly as we are constantly adding new patterns.

Here is a look at some of the new patterns and collections.

Moveable Type

A field trip to the Museum of Printing in Haverhill, Massachusetts, inspired Moveable Type. This collection celebrates typography and typographers. Proceeds from a selection of patterns in this collection go directly to the museum to help continue its mission of educating the public about printing and print history.

Perspective Collection

This collection grew out of a request we received from an interior designer to create a custom pattern for a microbrewery. They wanted an op art inspired design for upholstery in Sixpoint Brewery in Brooklyn. Kristen had so much fun working on this pattern; she created a whole series around the idea.

The Netherlands Collection

This group was inspired by a spring trip Kristen took to the Netherlands. The collection grew out of photos and sketches Kristen created on this trip, especially while touring a vast tulip garden.

Nature has a healing effects on our mental and physical health. When nature is unavailable, nature-inspired materials can help bring the outdoors in. Kristen designed this group of patterns with the healthcare market in mind, yet they are not limited to that market. These patterns work well in a variety of different spaces.

As you dig back into work, we hope you’ll take the time to check out all our new patterns in the licensable library and find the perfect one to specify in your new project.
