Five benefits of woven window film.

Reduces UV rays.

When the sun shines through your windows, ultraviolet rays come through. These rays can be damaging to many items in your home. This is often a slow process that you may not notice. Yet, it causes damage over time in places you may not suspect. For example, light can fade and discolor fabric and textiles such as rugs and sofas. UV light can also damage paper items such as book spines and artwork on walls, especially if not framed with glass that protects against UV rays. Additionally, vinyl records can warp and degrade over time if light shines on them, and wine bottles can suffer from light strike.

Creates a sense of privacy.

Many spaces with glass doors or walls can feel exposed, whether in a residential or commercial interior. Using window film to create privacy without sacrificing light can help people feel more comfortable. For instance, maybe a room with French doors has become a home office. Adding a decorative window film can create privacy while adding décor and not sacrificing light. It is also helpful for creating privacy in places you can’t install a permanent solution, such as rentals.

Calms reactive dogs.

Many dogs can’t help themselves. They see something outside, a squirrel or someone making a delivery, and bark. This can be disruptive for humans and stressful for dogs. Yet, blocking their view can also make your home dark and claustrophobic. Adding window film at the dog’s eye level can keep dogs calm while maintaining the desired ambiance for humans. For example, putting window film on either side of the front door cuts off the view from people approaching the front door. When printed with a beautiful pattern, it blocks the view and adds a decorative touch.

Adds security.

Depending on where you live, you may want to make it harder for people to look into your home. Yet, you don’t want heavy drapes drawn all day. Woven window film can make you feel more secure by obscuring the view inside without making the room feel dark or cut off from the outside world.

Enhances RVs and campers.

Most window films marketed toward vehicles are functional but boring. For those living the camper life or enjoying RV-ing, window film offers an option for something functional but decorative. Printed with an interesting pattern, it adds an element of beauty while still helping to keep the light out and your interior cool and private.
