Spring 2025 Color Trends

Crocuses have officially sprouted in our corner of New England, which means we’ve made it to spring. High fives all around! Spring flowers mean it’s time to think about spring colors. Fashion responds quickly to the mood of a culture and offers a snapshot of a moment in time. It’s why we like to spend time poring through runways collections every spring and fall. This year, Spring 2025 color trends are full of warm yellows and oranges, grounded with earthy neutrals.

Balancing out the yellow and oranges were soft shades of pink, lavender, celadon, and blue. These colors are soft, but not cloying pastels. They are breezy and uplifiting, yet still grounded in reality and not too saccharine.

Twenty circles of color swatches and words that say Spring 2025 color trends.

As always, we’ve created a free download for you. Print it out and tack it up in your studio. We also created a Pinterest board full of runway shots for inspiration.

Style Trends

What about trends beyond just color? We noticed three interesting trends:

  • Maximalism
  • Nostalgia and Fantasy
  • Architecture and sculptural shapes

How can you use our pattern library to tap into these trends?

Maximalism in interiors is already here. Designers are color-drenching and pattern-drenching to create spaces that scream with personality. We think customizing a pattern in an on-trend color is a smart way to update a room. Thankfully, with on-demand, digital printing, customizing a pattern is possible. Even if you’re ordering small amounts. Have questions? Get in touch so we can discuss it.

It’s easy to add a touch of nostalgia by incorporating vintage furniture, objects, or artwork. While actual vintage pieces are fun, so is including vintage-inspired patterns for materials or accent pieces. Our pattern library has many retro collections, notably our Mid-Century Modern Collection. This collection was inspired by Mad Men and looks great with vintage and contemporary pieces.

In addition to drenching in color and pattern, adding layers of texture to a room adds to the overall experience in a space. Many Design Pool patterns have visual texture added so that there is depth and dimension, even on a flat surface.
