The Story Of This Design - Not Just A Pretty Picture
Tapestry of Flowers is a tossed floral made of different flowers. Inspired by Mary Queen of Scots’ use of thistle to represent Scotland, Kristen used flowers that represent different places she’s called home. The texture in this pattern gives the look of a cross stitch, and when printed on wallcovering using equipment such as the Dimensor-S 3D texture printer, it has real texture. This pattern is part of the Technology x Tradition collection, a 2024 HiP Award Honoree, and reflects on the role textiles have traditionally played in the development of technology.
