Kristin Crane Joins the Design Pool Team!

We are excited to announce the team at Design Pool is growing! Please join us in welcoming Kristin Crane to our team as Director of Marketing & Communications. Kristin has been writing for the Design Pool blog since we launched in 2019. We are thrilled she is joining us full-time in 2020. Kristin’s career began as a designer of woven textiles for the residential furniture and jobber markets. She worked at New England mills such as Quaker Fabrics.

When the textile industry changed, so did Kristin’s career. She shifted her focus from textiles to marketing and social media. Working for local stores and nonprofits in downtown Providence, she helped them tell their stories and grow their businesses. Kristin will be managing the Design Pool website, writing content for our blog, and filling our social media platforms with beautiful and useful content.

Kristin is based in Providence, Rhode Island, and continues to create textiles on her Macomber floor loom in her home studio. In her own artwork, she is inspired by traditional textile techniques, the weavers of the Bauhaus, and traveling around the world.
